Licensed Clinical Social Worker

David Washington is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW 75915) based in the San Gabriel Valley. David’s areas of interest include children and families, anxiety, depression, addiction, and early childhood trauma.  David’s therapeutic style is heavily influenced by humanistic psychology and recovery-oriented therapy; collaborating with individuals and families to fulfill their potential and maximize well being. With the understanding that everyone’s needs are different, he offers a variety of therapeutic interventions (Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Horticultural Therapy, and Recovery Orientated Therapy).

David attended Cal State University Long Beach where he received an undergraduate degree in Africana Studies. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work, at the University of Southern California, where he was a Black Alumni Scholar and member of the Black Social Work Caucus. He has worked as a community and school-based therapist, in the Pasadena Unified School district, and received specialized training in early childhood development, trauma and PTSD. He currently works with adults in psych, as a group therapist, in the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program, at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, Ca.
